Migrating from another system to Art Manager

Importing client and vendor details, as well as their inventory is an important part of the Art Manager system implementation process. Fortunately, we've done it enough times to have Excel based data transfer that works.

For client details it's a standardized Excel that you'd have to export your clients data into and one press of a button will import the whole thing.

With inventory it takes ... one click of a button as well, but we'd have to create a mapping file to match your inventory Excel to the appropriate data fields in Art Manager. Item description is the only mandatory piece of data, the rest is purely optional, but one can go as far as transferring item location in a warehouse, a list of images and the packing material. And yes, image transfers are supported if you happen to have the image file names.

The biggest challenge of the inventory transfer is typically an export from your existing system (File Maker, MS Access, Paradox, dbf, SQL, etc). Typically, you'd have a way to create an inventory report in Excel or CSV. We'll work with you to make it happen.
